We also provide one-to-one pilates tuition, and pilates classes in Wembley, which are taught by Nanda Pindoria. Nanda is APPI trained in teaching Pilates, alongside being a physiotherapist.
WHAT IS PILATES
The classes are gentle, safe and challenging, where you can work at your own pace with a qualified physiotherapist who has the knowledge to modify exercises according to your pain or problem.
The aim of pilates is to prevent and treat a range of postural and musculo-skeletal conditions by retraining the core stabilisers to support the joints during every day activities.
It is a body conditioning exercise programme that targets the deep postural muscles of the abdomen, shoulder region and entire spine, improving overall core stability and posture.
Pilates is proven to help increase flexibility and strength, which will carry through to everyday life. A fitter, leaner body is the result, which in turn reduces risk of injury.
- Improve sports performance and prevent injuries – conventional workouts tend to work the same muscles, pilates works the whole body
- Gentle and low impact but at the same time challenging
- Refreshing mind-body workout
- Develop a strong core
- Gain long lean muscles and flexibility
Small classes – so lots of individual attention
